Secrets of experiencing peace

Text: Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

No one loves to live in an atmosphere where peace is absent. Peace is what everyone desires and deserves.

But when we look at the world today, it is as if peace only exists in human imagination. War is going on in many nations, unrest in many communities, crises in many homes and emotional stress in many hearts.

What is it that took away your peace and gave you troubles?  Is it your home, spouse, children, career, economic situation, loss of someone dear to you, sickness, demonic affliction, and the likes?
Yes!  You have done all you know but to no avail, don't despair. Don't give up. There is a way out of them all.

Today's bible reference says 'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.'
God promises to give PERFECT PEACE to those who do two basic things

1. Those whose mind stay on God.
For your mind to stay on God means to fill your heart with God. To see Him at work in every situation. To make God the center of your thoughts. To meditate on His goodness. To see God as He is. To see His ability and willingness to help you out of that situation.

2. Those who trust in God.
To trust in someone is to believe him. To have confidence in him. To see him as as someone whose words can be relied on.

Don't forget that There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.

My prayer for you today:
God will see you out of your unpleasant situation and you the promised PERFECT PEACE.

Scripture meditation for the day: John 14:26-28
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Enjoy God's perfect peace.

A MEETING WITH THE BURDEN BEARER

Text: Psalms 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

A burden is anything you are experiencing that weigh you down. Anything that doesn't allow you to move at the speed you desire.

Everybody has one burden or the other but at different degrees. Some have spiritual burdens and the burden of others may be financial, family, health, emotional, and so on. No one is immune against burden.

What do we do when we are faced with a burden that is too much for us to handle?
Some cry, some go around begging, some blame others for their plight, some accuse the government for not doing enough for the populace.

Let us see what the bible recommends on how to handle our burdens.

Psalms 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

You are to take that burden to God. The bible says God will sustain you. To sustain means to keep you while the situation lasts. He won't allow the situation to consume you. He will provide a way out for you.

But don't forget that the word of God here is meant for the righteous. It says God will never allowed the righteous to be moved. As long as you are a righteous person, you will not be consumed by the challenges you are facing. To be righteous means to be right with God. To be a partaker of Christ's righteousness. To be a believer in Jesus Christ.

How do we cast our burdens upon God?
The bible answers it.

Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

When you pray and believe God for answer, the answer will come in due time. God never comes too late.

Mark 11:23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

My prayer for you today:
I pray that God will help you to carry all your burdens and He will give you rest.

Scripture meditation for the day:1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Stay blessed.

OVERFLOWING BLESSING

"When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. John 6:12"

Devotion : Jesus Christ fed more than five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish from a boy's lunch. After they were all satisfied He asked his disciples to gather the surplus. Why do you think He gathered the surplus? Firstly, He wanted those who were witnesses to the miracle to see God's overflowing provision. Secondly, He was teaching the people to save in the period of abundance. Thirdly, He taught them to refrain from wasting resources. Finally, He wanted to give the boy who gave up his lunch the surplus to teach the people that whoever gives to Christ receives plenty in return.
