A MEETING WITH THE BURDEN BEARER

Text: Psalms 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

A burden is anything you are experiencing that weigh you down. Anything that doesn't allow you to move at the speed you desire.

Everybody has one burden or the other but at different degrees. Some have spiritual burdens and the burden of others may be financial, family, health, emotional, and so on. No one is immune against burden.

What do we do when we are faced with a burden that is too much for us to handle?
Some cry, some go around begging, some blame others for their plight, some accuse the government for not doing enough for the populace.

Let us see what the bible recommends on how to handle our burdens.

Psalms 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

You are to take that burden to God. The bible says God will sustain you. To sustain means to keep you while the situation lasts. He won't allow the situation to consume you. He will provide a way out for you.

But don't forget that the word of God here is meant for the righteous. It says God will never allowed the righteous to be moved. As long as you are a righteous person, you will not be consumed by the challenges you are facing. To be righteous means to be right with God. To be a partaker of Christ's righteousness. To be a believer in Jesus Christ.

How do we cast our burdens upon God?
The bible answers it.

Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

When you pray and believe God for answer, the answer will come in due time. God never comes too late.

Mark 11:23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

My prayer for you today:
I pray that God will help you to carry all your burdens and He will give you rest.

Scripture meditation for the day:1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Stay blessed.

OVERFLOWING BLESSING

"When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. John 6:12"

Devotion : Jesus Christ fed more than five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish from a boy's lunch. After they were all satisfied He asked his disciples to gather the surplus. Why do you think He gathered the surplus? Firstly, He wanted those who were witnesses to the miracle to see God's overflowing provision. Secondly, He was teaching the people to save in the period of abundance. Thirdly, He taught them to refrain from wasting resources. Finally, He wanted to give the boy who gave up his lunch the surplus to teach the people that whoever gives to Christ receives plenty in return.

TRUSTING IN TRIAL

A weak faith may appear strong when friends are true, the body is healthy, and the business is profitable. But a truely strong faith clings to the Lord's promises and relies on His faithfulness when loved ones leave, health departs, and dark clouds obscure the future. Evangelist D. L. Moody once said, 'Trust in yourself and you are doomed to disappointment; trust in God, and you will never be confounded in time or eternity. Don't murmur and rebel in your hour of adversity. Learn to trust God in every trial. TRIALS ARE THE SOIL IN WHICH FAITH CAN FLOURISH

SECRET OF ANSWERED PRAYERS

The reason why your prayers are not answered is because you never thought God would answer them. He who prays without believing will forever pray without getting result. If you truely desire to enjoy timely and unhindered answer to your prayers, engage faith as you pray. Believe in God's ability and willingness to answer you, and He will surely do as you pray in accordance with His word and His will. Read Mark 11:24. For further help, call: +2347065611913

DEALING WITH ALTARS

WHAT IS AN ALTAR? An altar is a meeting place between humanity and divinity, established through covenant and serviced through sacrifices. Altars are activated by sacrifices. When sacrifice is placed upon an altar, the diety to which the altar is raised begins to operate. The first thing Noah did after escaping the flood the destroyed the first was to build an altar to God so that he could be meeting with God who saved him (Gen. 8:18-22) Prophet Balaam, in his quest to place curse upon God's people raised 21 altars and sacrifices 42 animals (Numbers23:1-8). Before Gideon could be effective in his ministry and destiny, God told him to pull down the altar his father built for a national idol called baal (Judges 6:24-26). Elijah had to repair the altar in order to bring God's fire from heaven. To fulfil your destiny, and to maintain uninterrupted relationship with God; you need to consciously destroy every evil and negative altars upon which sacrifices are made to affect your life; and build an altar of fellowship with God.

HOW INVOLVED ARE YOU?

And He said to them 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.' Mark 16:15. Have you ever come across the above words as you read or study the bible? Do you know it was said by Jesus few hours before He went to heaven? Do you know it was an instruction given to His disciples and which must be carried out without compromise? Permit me to ask you this question. Who are you to Jesus? If you consider yourself a disciple of Jesus Christ, then what are you doing about this Great GO Commission? My dear, you have a role to play. Failure to respond amounts to disobedience, and its consequences can be grieveous. You can Go, Groan and/or Give. We do the three Gs (Go, Groan, Give) of the Great Commission. You can be part of it. It's highly rewarding. God bless you. www.royalwaychapel.co.nr
